2011 is the 10th anniversary of the formation of Ethos Workshop. We’re very proud and excited at reaching this milestone, and have great expectations for the next 10 years, and the next 10, then the next…well, you get the idea.
Everyone remembers turning 10 years old. It’s a Big Deal. I recall my own 10th birthday; a childhood rite of passage wherein I suddenly could be described by 2 digits instead of only 1. A ten-year-old feels like one of the Big Kids, no longer merely a youngster. A ten-year-old looks ahead with proactive anticipation at the forthcoming experiences of Jr. High and High School. A ten-year-old begins to understand who they are, and who they want to become. A ten-year-old can, for the first time, relate to humanity in terms of decades, not years. Schoolhouse Rock claims “3” is a magic number; I think 10 is right up there.
As I take a moment to look back at Ethos Workshop’s first 10 years, I’m delighted by the wonderful relationships we have formed, and I’m proud of the outstanding projects we have completed for our clients. As I peer ahead into the next 10years , I look forward to more collaborative opportunities in new markets, using new technologies to make our work process more efficient and our projects more engaging, and to continuing our pursuit of elevating the human spirit through the expression of the built environment.
I hope you’ll join us on the journey!
